Tenants of Faith
TENANTS OF FAITH
- We believe in one God, maker of all things and being in Trinity of Father, Son, And
Holy Spirit.
- We believe that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, became incarnate, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and is true God and true man. (Philippians 2:5-11; Matthew 1:23; 1 Timothy 2:5)
- We believe the Bible - in its entirety - to be the inspired word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and conduct. ( 2 Timothy 3:16)
- We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal life of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.
- We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 9:23;Romans 10:9,10)
- We believe in water baptism by immersion for believers. (Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19,20)
- We believe in the divine healing through the power of God. Mark 16:17,18; James 5:14
- We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by the initial physical signs of speaking with other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4) as distinct from the new birth; and the nine gifts of the Spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12 as now available to believers. (Acts 10:43-47; 19:2-6)
- We believe in the Christian's hope - the imminent personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 John 3:2,3)
- We believe in storehouse tithing. (Malachi 3:8-12)
