 | Collusion or Collision |
sparrow2 writes "| from the messages of Adrian Rogers | BIBLE MEDITATION: Romans 8:16 - “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: A farmer and his farmhand went duck hunting. The farmer said to his friend, “You’re always talking about fighting with the devil. I’m not a Christian, and I never have to fight with the devil.” The farmhand answered, “Boss, if you and I shot two ducks, one was wounded and one was dead, which one would you go after first?” He said, “Well, I guess the wounded duck.” He said, “That’s right. The devil knows you’re a dead duck.” If the devil doesn’t bother you, it’s because he doesn’t have to bother you, since you and he are traveling in the same direction. If you turned around, you’d have a collision with him. Right now, you are in collusion with him.
ACTION POINT: Are you a child of God? Then, praise Him that He has given you the power over Satan and placed you on the pathway to see Him face to face! | "

 | The True Depth of the Savior's Love |
sparrow2 writes "| from the messages of Adrian Rogers | BIBLE MEDITATION: John 10:17b-18 - “...because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of My Father.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: The true depth of the Savior’s love becomes apparent when you consider an important truth — Jesus Christ is the only person who ever chose to die. “But what about kamikaze pilots in World War II? What about soldiers who, having heard the ominous 'click' of a land mine, bravely stood still until their buddies could scurry to safety?” They didn’t choose to die in the final sense of the word; they only chose when to die. You and I and everyone yet to be will die eventually, but there was only One who did not have to die. Nails didn’t hold our Savior to the tree. Silver cords of love and golden bonds of redemption held Him there.
ACTION POINT: Read Psalm 22, 23, and 24 and rejoice in the provision, protection, and providence of the Good Shepherd!

 | Bible Study: Beware of Terrorists in Our Church |
sparrow2 writes "Latest news reports are that five terrorist cell groups have been operating in many of our churches. They have been identified as: Bin Sleepin, Bin Arguin, Bin Fightin, Bin Complainin, and Bin Missin. Their leader, Lucifer Bin Workin, trained these groups to destroy the Body of Christ. The plan is to come into the church disguised as Christians and to work within the church to discourage, disrupt, and destroy. However, there have been reports of a sixth group. A tiny cell known by the name Bin Prayin is actually the only effective counter terrorism force in the church. Unlike other terrorist cells, the Bin Prayin team does not blend in with whoever and whatever comes along. Bin Prayin does whatever is needed to uplift and encourage the Body of Christ. We have noticed that the Bin Prayin cell group has different characteristics than the others. They have Bin Watchin, Bin Waitin, Bin Fastin, and Bin Longin for their Master, Jesus Christ to return. (However, you can spot them if you bin lookin and bin goin.) |

 | Bible Study: A PRAYER FOR THE NEW YEAR |
sparrow2 writes "from the messages of Adrian Rogers
BIBLE MEDITATION:
Romans 12:2 - “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is
that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Do you know what New Year’s resolutions are? Those things that go in
one year and out the other! But may I suggest a very important
resolution for this New Year? To know the will of God, to do the will
of God, and to love the will of God. That's it. To know, do, and love
the will of God! We should tremble lest we should miss the will of God.
Will you do that this year? Will you take your stand on the will of
God? When God shows You something, will you plant both feet firmly on
it and say, "Here I stand! And I shall not, I shall not be moved!"
ACTION POINT:
As we enter this new year, pray this prayer: “Father in Heaven, I pray
today that You would help me this coming year to have faith for the
future, that I might listen to You and that I might hear You speak. And
Lord, because You've spoken, that I might realize Your will, resign
myself to Your will, and rely upon Your will. May I be aware each day
that You still have an overriding plan for history. This world has
never gotten out of Your control. In Jesus’ name, Amen. "

 | Bible Study: THE ISOLATION CHAMBER |
sparrow2 writes " "Be still and know that I am God...." Psalm 46:10
There is a time and place in our walk with God in which He sets us in a place of waiting.
It is a place in which all past experiences are of no value. It is a time of such stillness that it can disturb the most faithful if we do not understand that He is the one who has brought us to this place for only a season."
